Reinterpreted garment

After mastering pattern making, I took a piece of in topit (melted linen) to create a reinterpreted garment that preserves both its ancient form and essence. The true visual inspiration comes from the fluid way an ie looks when the wind blows through it, becoming completely one with nature. Out of reverence for our heritage, I intentionally removed the traditional embroidered symbols to avoid profaning them, letting the architecture and soul of the garment speak for itself.

Unique construction

The power of this piece lies entirely in its unique construction and hidden symbolism. As a quiet statement against historical division, the entire blouse is crafted from a single, continuous piece of fabric. This seamless design structurally represents the unity of our historical regions: Moldova, Muntenia, Transylvania, Dobrogea, and Banat. Running directly down the spine of the garment, I placed a reproduction of the Endless Column rendered entirely in the colors of our tricolor flag. To tie the concept together, the blouse is finished with overlock stitching using those exact same tricolor threads, weaving blue for freedom, yellow for our prosperous fields, and red for brotherhood into the very edges of the linen. As seen in *image.png*, this one-piece architecture creates a fluid, minimalist silhouette with dramatic batwing sleeves that capture the wind and drape naturally into a gentle elasticated waist.
